Just before the half time break of the season, Wardy-r6 kick started his season with a sensational win in Azerbaijan and was voted “Driver Of The Week” for round 6. Here’s what he had to say:
You started in P8, kept a cool head during the race and managed your first win of the season. Talk us through your qualifying and race.
The qualifying didn’t really go as well as it could have since i was blocked on an hotlap which would have been quite faster than my previous lap. But fortunately for me my strategy was spot on and i didn’t make any mistakes in a very hectic race. After the late safety car i managed to deal with the pressure and crossed the line first, so i am really pleased with the win.
The start of the season didn’t quite go to plan for you and now after your win, what do you exprect from the reainder of the season.
As i said i’m really happy with the win and especially to help out in the constructors standings. For Baku i raised the wings for more stability over straight line speed and it seemed to pay off. For the rest of the season i’m hoping to be a bit more consistent and try to help push for more points in the constructors championship as JensHofer been doing it all on his own so far this season.
Wardy, thank you very much for your time. We hope you have decent results in the upcoming races and wish you all the best!
